May Bank Holiday Steamings at Bolton Steam Museum
Bolton Steam Museum is a museum in Bolton, Greater Manchester, England, which houses a variety of preserved steam engines.
Our volunteers have rescued and restored 30 old stationary steam engines, which once powered the cotton and woollen mills of the North of England ,including 5 built in Bolton Most will be running in steam on these 2 days only. Our oldest engine is now over 180 years old, and most are well over 100 years old! Come and see these magnificent examples of Victorian engineering restored and running once again!

The Museum is normally closed at other times, except for volunteers' working days, Wednesdays & Sundays: 11.00 - 3.00 , when visitors are welcome and a few engines can be run using electric motors.
