Celebrating 260 years of
Samuel Crompton, one of Bolton’s most famous sons was born on December 3, 1753.
2013 marks 260 years since his birth and to celebrate the life of inventor of the Spinning Mule, the invention which revolutionised the Cotton Industry, a number of special events will be held around Bolton as a tribute to him.
