Situated on the main A666 road between Manchester and Bolton, Ryders Farm Equestrian Centre was established in 1993 when the owner of the existing livery yard decided to start a riding school.
From its small beginnings of two ponies and a small paddock the Centre now covers almost 60 acres and has 52 horses and ponies, an indoor school, an outdoor arena, is a Pony Club Centre, hosts the local sixth form college Equine Studies course, and teaches horsemanship up to BHSAI standard. There is also a cross country course under construction.
